Felicia
Documentary theatre performance inspired by interviews with women aged 17-25 who have grown up with parents struggling with addiction.
”So many times I’ve been lying at home in bed when my dad hasn’t come home and you wonder… he should’ve been home a long time ago, right? You wonder where he is, what he’s doing now, if he’s alive. There have been so many times I just thought: no, now he’s dead because he fell on the tracks or he jumped off the bridge, I don’t know… why doesn’t he answer the phone?”
We meet Felicia, 21, who tells us about her life. In a conversation with the audience, Felicia shares her teenage years filled with loneliness, great responsibility, and worry, but also laughter and love. She constantly hopes that her dad will one day stop drinking and get better. How is it possible to long for someone so much, even though you see them every day?
The project is an international collaboration and a sister work to the play PETAR.

A WARM THANK YOUTo the young women who shared their experiences with us in interviews. Without their participation, this performance would not have been possible.
