Heat
A brief and immersive sound and spatial experience where the audience finds themselves in a climate-controlled room and becomes part of the daily life of a young textile worker.
Hanna spends her days behind a sewing machine in a textile factory where the pace never slows down. Every hour, she needs to hem 220 pockets to keep up with production demands. The sweltering heat of the factory hangs over the room like a lid, stealing her energy and making every movement heavier than the last. Although she struggles to keep her eyes open and her hands steady, reality slowly begins to lose focus.
The project was initiated and financed by the Swedish organization Fair Action as part of their ongoing campaigns and projects centered on corporate accountability, workers’ rights, and a just climate transition within the fashion industry.
